The Ardiente is a colorful cocktail that sits on a porch rail at sunset.

Delicious! Absolutely delicious! It’s one of my favorites from the Pandemic Pub. There’s a nice, sweet burn in my mouth that is completely enjoyable as I sit here and look out on the sunset.

The cocktail, and the view and the sunset are gorgeous.


  • 4 oz. Tequila Añejo

  • About 5 Hot & Sweet Jalapeños in jar, with some of their juice

  • Juice of 1 Lime

  • Sugar cube

  • Long red pepper from the jar of Jalapeños

  • Rim
  • Salt

  • Cumin

  • Cayenne

  • Coriander


  • Muddle Jalapeños with a bit of their juice, with lime, sugar, salt.
  • Add ice to shaker, and Tequila. Shake until satisfied.
  • Don’t forget to rim your glass before pouring drink (I often do!!). Garnish with the elegant red pepper from the jar of jalapeños.

  • Combine salt, cumin, cayenne, and coriander. Wet lip of glass with lime wedge, then twist in this amazing mixture.
