Bourbon Satin

A Bourbon Satin cocktail is a white, creamy drink in a martini glass.

The Bourbon Satin was another cocktail that we researched early on, rather than invented, and boy, are we glad we found it! I think it was the first Pandemic Pub cocktail that we really loved!

In fact, it was so early on that we weren’t even taking photos at that time! (In the case of the Tipperary, that’s no loss, but I digress).

  • 1 oz bourbon

  • 1 oz creme de cacao

  • 1 oz cream

  • Put equal parts of all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice; shake until satisfied.
  • Pour into a chilled martini glass.
  • Cheers!

The recipe called for white creme de cacao, though we only had dark, so that was our substitute. Our homemade Bourbon Satin cocktails looked more deeply chocolatey than the picture you see here.

If we were making this again today, we’d almost certainly include a rim to that glass. I’m thinking a mixture of dusted cocoa, sugar, and possibly even chopped nuts. It’s too bad we finished the bottle, or we might return to this one – but you know the Pandemic Pub rules!
