The Costariquense is a rum cocktail with lemon and lime juice, over ice.

This drink was made with what can only be considered, in the relative timeline of the Pandemic Pub, to be new alcohol. The dark rum was a gift from Costa Rica, arriving sort of just before the quarantine did.

When you consider that some of what we work with is around 15 years old, this is an astoundingly young, fresh drink!


  • Bacardi Rum

  • Dark Rum from Costa Rica

  • Large ice cube (made in a silicone muffin tin)

  • Lime and lemon juices


  • Shake rums and juices in a cocktail shaker until satisfied.
  • Pour over ice and enjoy!
