Homemade Gin and Tonic (August 2)

A gin and tonic with homemade tonic has a more amber color.

I went home to Tacoma for a few days to do Pandemic Laundry (there’s a private, COVID-free room there, which we don’t have at Elizabeth’s house). The Pandemic Pub doesn’t stop pouring just because we’re not together at Happy Hour!

Elizabeth usually packs me a bag of food so that I don’t have to go grocery shopping as soon as I arrive back at my house. This time, she packed me a little jar of Mike’s homemade tonic so, of course, I made myself a Gin and Tonic.

You can really see how opaque and amber-colored the homemade tonic is.

  • Gin

  • Homemade tonic

  • Limes

  • Combine roughly equal amounts of gin and tonic in a tall glass with ice.
  • Squeeze the juice of a half-lime (or more, to taste) and give a stir.
  • Garnish with lime and enjoy!
Enjoyed on August 2
