Lemony Snicket

The Lemony Snicket is served in a martini glass with a lime garnish.

This cocktail was summer and very lemony, but almost to the point of making your mouth pucker. Elizabeth really likes a citrusy drink, and I love lemons, but this may have been perhaps a little too lemon-forward.

I made it myself and felt some pressure to not waste the limoncello, which was a gift, or to muddy things too much. As in painting, that kind of caution can be a fatal flaw!

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Limoncello

  • 1 oz. Gin

  • 1 oz. Lemon Juice

  • 1 oz. Lemonade

  • 1 Tbsp. Simple Syrup

  • Garnish with a lemon (why did I garnish with a lime??)

Directions

  • Simple Syrup
  • Boil 1/2 c. water with 1/4 c. sugar and 1/4 c. monk fruit, until crystals are dissolved. (Use no more than half monk fruit in the dry sugar mixture, or you’ll have a crystal problem on your hands). Let cool.
  • Shake liquids with ice; garnish and enjoy!
