Nameless Dog (August 22)

Two Nameless Dog cocktails sit next to a boba tea mocktail.

The Nameless Dog strikes again! This really easy and refreshing summer drink became one of our favorites for a long stretch over the warmer months. It’s basically a simplified margarita, with tequila, limes, and a souped-up rim.

In the foreground is a boba tea (and milk?) soft drink that Elizabeth’s son Max made for himself. Later, we’d put the same effort into our mocktails that we’d already employed for our cocktails, but I think this is the first time that Max had a beverage with us. And it’s kind of a big deal because it’s in an adult-sized, non-plastic drinking vessel! All kinds of progress is being made during the pandemic!

  • Tequila

  • Juice of several limes

  • Rim
  • Chipotle

  • Salt

  • Mix rim ingredients; skim the edge of the cocktail glass with a lime wedge, and dip wet edge into mixture.
  • Combine tequila with juiced limes; shake over ice in a cocktail shaker until satisfied.
  • Cheers!
